What I've found

This mod cloth dress is so adorable. So bohemian and airy. I would love to be wearing this today!

I need to make these shoes! They are too cute. R2 is my favorite. :)

I have just discovered The Oatmeal. It is so hilariously awesome, I can't even describe.

I came across this on pinterest. It's absolutely adorable!

To be honest, I can't remember where I found these. But I adore them.
When I was a kid I had a rock collection and I tried to paint all of them as different animals.
Maybe I'll break them out and turn them all into adorable owls for my container garden.

And lastly, a super cute DIY for a carpet bag. I am so making this this weekend!

Hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday!

DIY Sweater clips!

This is one of my favorite low cost DIY projects! It's so easy and fast, you'll be looking cute in no time!
The only things you will need are needle nose pliers, an old necklace chain in the same color as your earrings, clip on earrings, and two O-rings. I found my clip on earrings at a yard sale for fifty cents!
You will need to make sure that your earrings are clip ons and that they have some way to hold the O-ring. (My O-ring had to be larger because of the way my earring is made)
Next you will need to cut your chain to your desired length. I held mine up to my chest to see how long it needed to be. Once you have cut the chain with your pliers, open the O-rings and hook the end of the chain on each side. Don't close the rings yet though!
With your open O-ring loop around the opening on your earring, I chose the middle clasp, and close the O-ring.
Do the same with the other side, and your sweater clips are complete!
Aaaannnddd here is my completed chain!

This DIY is so easy, anyone can do it. It's a nice way to add a little classic 50's style to any wardrobe.

A little about me...

Hello lovelies!

I'm Rachael, I'm in my early twenties and I live with my wonderful boyfriend in Louisville, KY. I am the proud owner of Little Apple Vintage, a small vintage shop out of my home. I am the proud mama to a little hedgie named Obi-Wan. I love sewing, thrifting, gardening and baking.
I collect all sorts of things: Anything R2-D2, vintage sewing books and machines, vintage philosophy books, owls, bird prints, and anything Star Trek (original series of course).
I want for this blog to be a collection of all the new and beloved recipes I make, everything DIY from house to wardrobe, and a snapshot of my life.

I hope you enjoy!
XO Rachael
